About us

The Navy (JWTZ) Vocational Training Centre is a private Vocational Training Centre (VTC) under Tanzania People's Defiance Force (TPDF), Navy Command which was established in March 2018 with Reg. VET/DSM/PR/2018/B/120 (See Annex B) granted by Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) under the provisions of the Vocational Education and Training chapter 82, the revised Edition of 2006.
NVTC is located at the neighborhood of Navy Command at Kigamboni District, Dar es Salaam region, about 2km from kigamboni Ferry Terminal. The Centre lies on over 12 acres of  land, large of which has not been fully utilized.

To be a centre if professional institution that provides support and development of vocational education for all subjects interested in vocational education.

Vision
To provide quality vocational education and training which are in accordance with the needs of the labour market in order to contribute in raising the level of your self employment.

NVTC OBJECTIVES:
The Centre was established with the objectives underlying below;
Formulation and providing vocational training programmes to youth and make them useful in the society.
To structure and organise programmes which are in consistency with the need of the labour market as well as aligning with the National initiatives.
To offer training in technical fields according to the need of the society.
To provide training that promotes self-employment.
Improving the quality of labour force, thereby making youth who receive it, to grasp job opportunities available within the country, East Africa and globally.
 To provide vocational education to the young people residing Kigamboni, thereby reducing the challenge of crossing the ferry merely for acquiring training offered in the other side.
Moulding the youngsters of Kigamboni district socially, culturally and economically so that to make them contribute to their country economy.
